Committing to the TBR

First book in the TBR, completed!

Wowza! I really enjoyed this retelling more than I thought I would! Knowing just a very basic prior knowledge of Ragnarok, Loki, Thor, Odin, Freya, ETC.. I definitely knew what I was getting into. Little did I know that author Gornichec was going to introduce to us a Norse giantess witch named Angroboda. Angroboda foresees a prophecy that she wishes she would rather live her whole life without knowing. It’s up to her if she chooses to change this fate or accept it.

I hit a stall midway into the book because the romance sort of dies down and I thought this was more of a romance than a retelling. But once it clicked for me, I couldn’t stop flying through the ending of Angroboda’s story. Her redemption and revenge are all I wanted to see!

I was very invested in this book and the Loki romance plot line(this really got me flying through the pages!!) I am not a huge fan of the fade to black, however, Loki was morally grey enough to keep piquing my interest. Even though it lacked the spice I usually need, the plot kept me so interested and reading for more!

(Believe me, this is something I hope my TBR challenge can change in me!!) This was the first book I successfully finished for those of you on my TBR journey, and I’m so glad I finally did!! One book down, I think 62 more to go, I think? Any recommendations for the next one?
